Machete Movie Review
Eric Melin and Trevan McGee from Scene-Stealers.com review the new Robert Rodriguez exploitation flick Machete starring Danny Trejo. A project Rodriguez was trying to get off the ground for years, he made a Machete trailer and included it in 2007's Grindhouse, but now Machete the full-length film is no longer a dream--it's a reality. See what Scene-Stealers thought of the movie and see clips from Machete in this on-camera movie review.

Inception Movie Review
Eric Melin and Trevan McGee from Scene-Stealers review Christopher Nolan's new sci-fi action film “Inception,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio as a corporate dream raider.Nolan directed “Memento,” “The Dark Knight,” and “The Prestige.” He specializes in films that work like jigsaw puzzles while at the same time blending in a good amount of obsessive character traits to make things really interesting. With “Inception,” there is a good 30 minutes or so of fairly drab exposition followed by 90 minutes of the most dense and thrilling cinema you’re likely to experience all year. Be prepared for gravity-defying action like you’ve never seen, a mind-bending narrative, and a mix of CGI and in-camera special effects that looks so real you’d swear the world was really folding in on itself. Nolan orchestrates the entire ambitious movie like it’s the secret back page of the coach’s playbook. It’s complicated and risky and everything has to go just as planned, but if it works—the payoff is everything. And whether you understand all of the plot’s complexities by the end of the film or not, you’ll probably be convinced of one thing—“Inception” pays off in spades.

again as Bella is put in a vampire - werewolf love triangle. Isn't

to swallow? Stick around after the review for a Team Jacob vs. Team

Toy Story 3 Movie Review
Eric Melin and Trevan McGee review the
latest from Pixar, Toy Story 3. It's been 11 years since Toy Story 2,
and true fans of the series may be worried that there was no reason to
revisit Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen), and the rest of Andy's
toys for another installment. Is Toy Story 3 another Pixar triumph or
is it a case of diminished returns like the awful Shrek series from
DreamWorks. Find out about Toy Story 3 in this on-camera review with
clips from Toy Story 3.

Hot Tub Time Machine Movie Review
Eric Melin and Trevan McGee review Hot Tub Time Machine, the new 2010 raunchy sex comedy from the writer of Grosse Pointe Blank, with a guest appearance by Scooter Jones from You Tube web series The Sports Buddaye. John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Clark Duke go back in time to party like its 1986. The movie has a lot of similarities to The Hangover and Old School, but does Hot Tub Time Machione live up to the absurdity of its title? Is Hot Tub Time Machine a worthy addition to the 80s time travel canon of Back to the Future? Find out in this review, featuring clips from Hot Tub Time Machine.

The Road Movie review
Eric Melin and guest host Trevan McGee (from InkKC.com) review the bleak new Cormac McCarthy adaptation The Road. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Road was directed by John Hillcoat and follows a father (Viggo Mortensen) and son (Kodi McPhee) as they journey across a scorched Earth after the apocalypse. Does it live up to the emotional heights of the book? Is it a paean to fatherhood or a numbing exercise in depression? Find out in this review of The Road with clips from the movie.

2012 Movie review
Eric and guest host Trevan McGee (InkKC.com) review the new apocalyptic disaster porn movie 2012 starring John Cusack and directed by Roland Emmerich. The Mayan prophecy says the world will end in 2012, and Hollywood has co-opted that premise for a 2012 disaster flick with lots of state-of-the-art CGI special effects. Is 2012 up to the adventure movie standards of Emmerich, who also did Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow? Does it at least succeed as a 2012 doomsday action movie? Find out in this on-camera movie review of 2012 with clips from the film.

Bruno Movie Review
Eric Melin welcomes J.D. Warnock back as co-host for the Scene-Stealers.com review of Sacha Baron Cohen's new reality-prank movie, "Bruno." In the same vein as "Borat," the surprise comedy smash from 2006, "Bruno" follows a strange foreigner to U.S. soil. Larry Charles directed this rude, obnoxious, and terribly offensive comedy from Sacha Baron Cohen. Is Bruno as funny as Borat? Does the same formulas strike lightning twice? Is it too familiar? Eric Melin and guest host Trevan McGee (inkkc.com) review Terminator Salvation, the fourth movie in the Terminator franchise that started way back in 1984 with James Cameron's The Terminator starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Terminator Salvation stars Christian Bale as John Connor, the leader of the resistance who is fighting for humanity's survival in the future. Terminator Salvation was directed by McG (Charlie's Angels, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle) and is a bleak action movie set after Judgement Day, the nuclear holocaust. Even though Terminator Salvation is a dark and metallic-hued movie, Eric is hellbent on celebrating the summer blockbuster season--even though Terminator Salvation is not the first of the summer movies to come out in 2009. Is the Terminator saga still relevant or is it running on fumes?

Watchmen Movie Review
Eric Melin from Scene-Stealers and guest host Aaron Weber from Transbuddha review the new Zack Snyder movie “Watchmen,” an adaptation of the graphic novel masterpiece by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. They aren’t afraid to tackle such heady topics as fetishized violence and superhuman strength from costumed adventurers who are supposed to be portrayed as having no superpowers (save Dr. Manhattan of course!), a gross simplification of the comic’s complicated themes, a shocking lack of subtlety, whether the heavily stylized look was the right choice for the material, whether one viewing is enough to balance the spectacle vs. the storytelling, and Eric’s failed strategy of trying really hard to resist reading the book again right before seeing the movie. This is an emotional, honest look at a film that both reviewers had been anticipating for years and years, and one still refuses to give up on, even when all his instincts tell him he should do just that.

Coraline Movie Review
Eric Melin from Scene-Stealers.com and guest host Billy Brimblecom, drummer extraordinaire, review the new 3D stop-motion animation film "Coraline" and talk about its relation to Tim Burton and "The Nightmare Before Christmas." All the ads seem to suggest Tim Burton without actually saying his name, so that is addressed-- along with the spookiness of a kids' fantasy written by Neil Gaiman (of "Sandamn" comics fame) and the idea of 3D accentuating the movie without being too gimmicky. Also, don't forget to enter our Oscar Pick 'em Contest for 2009. Enjoy this on-camera review from Scene-Stealers.com!

Revolutionary Road Movie Review
Eric Melin and J.D. Warnock from Scene-Stealers are reunited in a moment so big it could only be eclipsed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet's first pairing since the record-breaking run of "Titanic" all those years ago. "Revolutionary Road" was directed by Winslet's husband Sam Mendes ("American Beauty") and adapted from the novel by Richard Yates. A depressing study of an unhappy married couple who feel trapped in the suburbs, it's about as far away from "Titanic" as you can get. See what Eric and J.D. thought of "Revolutionary Road" in this on-camera video review.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button Movie Review
Eric Melin from Scene-Stealers.com and guest critic Trevan McGee from inkkc.com battle it out over "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," a big Oscar prestige film starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, adapted from the F. Scott Fitzgerald short story, and directed by David Fincher. Will it be the big contender for Best Picture at the Academy Awards that everyone predicts it will be or is it an overly long snorefest? One of our critics definitely has the latter opinion. Check out the instant on-camera review for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
The Wrestler Movie Review
Scene-Stealers.com critic Eric Melin and guest co-host Whitney Mathews review Mickey Rourke’s comeback role in Darren Aronofsky’s new movie “The Wrestler.” Co-starring Marisa Tomei as the stripper who wins his heart and Evan Rachel Wood as his estranged daughter, “The Wrsetler” is a gripping, realistic walk through some important moments in the life of fictional 1980s professional wrestling icon Randy “The Ram” Robinson. It may not be the WWE (WWF) or ECW, but Aronofsky’s movie is about as hardcore as it gets.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno Movie Review
Eric Melin goes it alone in this, the first-ever, one-man review in the history of Scene-Stealers. Kevin Smith's "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" starring Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks is reviewed by Eric, who has come under fire lately for not having enough of a female perspective. This review features Elizabeth Banks, Katie Morgan, and Traci Lords. The movie also stars Jason Mewes, Jeff Anderson, and Craig Robinson. Find out what all the fuss is about Kevin Smith's "Zack and Miri Make a Porno." Was it really too explicit for some theaters? Is the movie as dirty as its banned movie posters? W. Movie Review
Eric Melin and guest co-host Nick Colby (bassist for The Dead Girls) review the new Oliver Stone George W. Bush biopic "W." Many will come away from Oliver Stone's movie feeling sympathetic towards the George W. Bush, who never lived up to poppy Bush's expectations, and that is why the film is so devastating. Josh Brolin is excellent, and has the same natural charm that got Bush elected, and Stone's movie suggests what we've seen is what we get. That's all there is to this president. If "W." feels empty, that's because it reflects the soul of the man whom it is about.

Choke Movie Review
It's only the second book from "Fight Club" author Chuck Palahniuk to be adapted into a movie, but beyond sharing a couple themes with the Brad Pitt-Edward Norton film, it has little in common with it. Eric Melin and guest co-host Trevan McGee (from inkkc.com) review "Choke," starring Sam Rockwell, Anjelica Huston, and Kelly MacDonald directly following a screening of the movie at the Screenland Theater. "Choke" follows a sex addict and historial interpreter who may just be the Messiah. It's another Instant Review from your pals at Scene-Stealers.com!

The Rocker Interview with Jason Sudeikis
Jason Sudeikis (“30 Rock,” “Saturday Night Live”) is so good as the rock band manager in the new movie “The Rocker” that he pretty much steals the show. Being rockers ourselves, we wanted to do something a little different than the normal junket interview while Jason was in town promoting “The Rocker” (starring Rainn Wilson), so we ambushed the comedy star with a homegrown rock n’ roll quiz to see how much of his portrayal was a result of Method acting. As it turns out, this didn’t quite go exactly as planned. This is probably the last time we try to quiz a movie star. Yikes! Maybe we should just stick to the regular junket questions. Anyway, enjoy this very uncomfortable interview with Jason Sudeikis from a dirty hotel room somewhere in Kansas City.
